Haines has been my cars mechanic for a while and they have always acted professionally with elite knowledge of my car. Sadly my car was a write off during a not-at-fault rear end which is heartbreaking because I know I won’t be able to get it serviced with these guys again.

I bring my Audi RS3 8V to Haines for servicing, tuning, and hardware modifications and they have treated my car perfectly. Before doing any modifications to my car they made sure it was 100 percent healthy, they then modified it perfectly making the car a whole different experience to drive. I was unsure if tuning the car was going to make it unreliable, but after Haines tuned it, it has been performing great and has had no issues at all. If you’re looking for a reliable, professional and truthful mechanic to do anything to your car Haines are the people to send it to.

I’ve been taking my Mk7.5 Golf R here for a couple of years now and have always had a great experience. Ben, Callum and the team provide expert advice, is easy to contact, and offer excellent value for the quality of service they provide.

They take the time to talk through things, answer questions, and make you feel like a valued customer rather than just another booking.

Most recently, they went above and beyond in helping me source brake rotors for my aftermarket callipers. Although it proved to be a quite difficult job, at no point did they make it seem like it was too much trouble and persisted in finding the right solution and ultimately managed to get it sorted.

It’s hard to find a mechanic you can genuinely trust, but Haines have consistently delivered great service, honest advice, and a much more personal experience than any other workshop I’ve dealt with. Highly recommended!

After plenty of bad experiences with so call ‘specialists’ in other such platforms such as WRX’s and other Jap imports I was quite hesitant on who to take my GTi to when I jumped ship to a Golf from Jap imports.

I spoke to a few different places and a lot of people about who they recommended and Haines kept coming up as one of the top suggested places to go.

After a conversation with Callum about what I was looking for and getting a feel for how his workshop operated I felt confident that I had found the right workshop to suit my needs.

I’ve never had an issue with any of the work carried out at Haines Mechanical, they have always been able to fit the Golf in for a service when needed even when they have been packed and I have needed to head interstate at the last minute they have made it work and been able to service the Golf.

They have also looked after the performance side of the the Golf and provided me with confidence that the work has been done correctly and in such a way that it is reliable.

I would have no hesitation in suggesting Haines Mechanical to people looking for a true Euro specialist that will make sure that your car is looked after like it was their own.

Haines do great work and don’t try and rip you off blind simply due to having the label of a Euro specialist like some other so called ‘specialist’ workshops will do.

Three years after my original review, I can confidently say nothing has change, except now I have even more appreciation for the service these guys provide.

After being out of a European car for a few years, I’ve decided to jump back in and purchase a B9 Audi SQ5 from interstate. As you can imagine, buying a used performance vehicle sight unseen came with plenty of questions and a fair bit of caution.

Throughout the entire process, the team at Haines Euro Performance & Mechanical have been incredible. They’ve answered countless questions about common issues with the EA839 V6 engine, explained what to look for, helped me understand the findings from an independent inspection, and given honest advice on what was worth worrying about and what wasn’t and most of this occured out of hours via their social media pages.

What impressed me most is that they did all of this without hesitation, despite the fact I haven’t owned a European vehicle or been a paying customer for around three years. There was never any pressure or expectation; they were simply happy to help.

That level of customer service is incredibly rare these days. It’s clear they genuinely care about their customers and their reputation, rather than just getting cars through the workshop.

Their advice has given me the confidence to proceed with the purchase, and the SQ5 is already booked in for a full inspection as soon as it gets back to Adelaide.

It’s fantastic to see that, three years later, the standard of service hasn’t changed. If anything, it has reinforced why I trusted them in the first place.

Looking forward to getting the SQ5 into the workshop for a health check… and then inevitably spending some money on the fun modifications!
